Alfa Romeo partners with Luna Rossa for the 38th America’s Cup

Alfa Romeo proudly announces its official partnership with Luna Rossa, the legendary Italian sailing team, ahead of the 38th America’s Cup — the world’s most prestigious sailing competition, coming to Italy for the first time in 2027, in the breathtaking Bay of Naples.

This partnership brings together two Italian icons united by shared values and a common vision: turning passion into performance, identity into style, and competition into innovation. A natural synergy that was introduced through a powerful and evocative brand video, available here, capturing the spirit of this unique collaboration.

The announcement was made during a digital event featuring Alfa Romeo CEO Santo Ficili, Global Head of Marketing, Communication and Strategic Projects Cristiano Fiorio, and Luna Rossa Team Director Max Sirena. In the full event video — available here — the three explore the profound connection between road and sea: different elements, same instinct and drive.

The collaboration sets sail with Luna Rossa taking part in the 43rd edition of the Mille Miglia, behind the wheel of a stunning 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900 Super Sprint from the brand’s historic collection. It marks the beginning of a partnership that goes far beyond visibility — one grounded in mutual expertise and a commitment to co-developing cutting-edge performance solutions, from advanced materials to data and performance management.

With this announcement, Alfa Romeo opens a bold new chapter in its competitive legacy — where Italian innovation and excellence drive forward, on land and at sea.

Alfa Romeo is thrilled to announce the launch of the new Quadrifoglio Super Sport - a limited edition of 450 units, 275 for Giulia and 175 for Stelvio, designed to honour the racing legacy of the Brand.

This special series pays homage to a legendary model from the past: the first Alfa Romeo ever to win the 1000 Miglia. In 1928, the Brand triumphed in the second edition of the competition not only due to the talent of its two drivers - Giuseppe Campari and Giulio Ramponi - but also thanks to the outstanding performance of an extraordinary car: the Alfa Romeo 6C 1500, known as “Super Sport”. This vehicle secured a memorable victory for the Brand in the famous race, marking the beginning of a long series of successes. Today the name “Super Sport” is poised to make a comeback, reigniting the emotions of that remarkable moment once more.

The new Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport preserve the sporty DNA that has always characterised these daring models, while adding a touch of technical and stylistic refinement. Exceptional driving dynamics and a powerful 520-HP engine, combined with carbon fibre components, red interior details, and a dedicated Quadrifoglio logo that dresses in black for the first time in the history of Alfa Romeo.
