90th Anniversary of QV
The 90th anniversary of the 'Quadrifoglio Verde' (green four-leaf clover), the legendary symbol that has identified some of Alfa Romeo's sportiest models, its being celebrated this year. That refers not only to the cars, which have been taken to the world's race circuits, but also to certain special production versions.
The first Alfa Romeo car to be adorned with the Quadrifoglio Verde was Ugo Sivocci's RL, in which he won the 14th edition of the Targa Florio in 1923. Since then, all of Alfa Romeo racing cars have been distinguished by the emblem and renowned lucky charm known throughout the world, the same which characterised certain standard production Alfa Romeo from the 1960s onwards.
The 'Quadrifoglio Verde' returns to the Giulietta, the latest model has assumed a place in the tradition of the best Alfa Romeos, drawing on the heritage of dynamic performance, without compromising on efficiency, respect for the environment and convenience in everyday use. A sports tradion that lives on in the latest Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV. Its performance is the result of its 173kW 1750 direct injection turbopetrol engine with dual continuous variable valve timing and turbocharger with scavenging system and intercooler. The weight/power ratio of 5.6 kg/HP, the sports geometry with lowered suspension and the powerful braking system ensure the handling and performance of a racing vehicle on the road.
